Was Seth actually up for a good sixteen hours in bed with Caleb? He'd just had a seventeen hour shooting day that ended, oh, six hours before Caleb was set to arrive. Still, Seth seemed to have plenty of energy left for this hookup.

If you could call it a hookup. It was an intimate plan for such a casual one, the long stretch of time to unwind and make out and have sex and stay close together, naked in bed, like actual lovers. It was a far cry from NYC app hookups that lasted maybe 20 minutes, but then, maybe things were different out here.

But then maybe it was different because Caleb had seemed to look at Seth and know him, and their vibe had been strong, and their chemistry great, so: why not explore it?

So Seth slept for five hours and ten minutes, showered and threw on jeans and a tee, ate two bananas, brushed his teeth, and even answered two emails before he had to buzz Caleb in. Was that a flutter in his chest? Hard to say!

"Is that supposed to discourage me?" The first thing Caleb did was take his phone out of his pocket and put it on the bedside table. It was already silenced except for calls from Katie or Scottie's phones, and with it set aside in a safe place, he could go back to focusing entirely on Seth.

"Why would I want to discourage this handsome, thoughtful man from touching my body?" Seth grinned, and, without pause, removed the rest of his clothing. "Speaking of, what would you like to touch first?"

Caleb sat down on the edge of the bed to take off his shoes, but very quickly got distracted. "I swear to god my brain shorts out every time you get naked because every possibility is a great possibility." He shook his head as he finally tore his eyes away from Seth long enough to get his shoes off and reach for the fly of his own jeans. "I wonder if I'll ever get over that."

"I hope not." Seth sat comfortably beside Caleb on the bed, leaning back on his elbows, lounging. Encouraging, of course, more looking.

As if Caleb could stop looking if he wanted to. He shucked off the rest of his clothes and leaned over Seth, all his weight on one arm so he could skim his other hand down Seth's side from shoulder to knee. "I don't know, there might be some virtue in decisiveness. It's not like I could get tired of looking at you."

Seth loved to be touched like this: with appreciation, sure, but with intention and approval. No wonder, right; he was an actor after all. "Says the handsome construction worker god."

Caleb laughed lowly, shaking his head. "I'm no god." He'd known gods, and god-like mutants, and he'd never been either. "I'm much better at worshipping than being worshipped."

"By all means, don't let me stop you from worshiping me," Seth replied, though he watched Caleb curiously. "Still, you should know how goddamn attractive you are."

"As long as I'm attractive enough to keep you here, that's all I need to know." Between that and the kiss that followed--a hungry, adoring, dizzying kind of kiss--Caleb had probably said more than he meant to. More than he realized, even.

That was an astounding — and particular! — kind of kiss! Seth loved it, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to tease, gently. “I think you might have a crush on me.”

"I'm beginning to think that, too," Caleb confessed, trying not to be embarrassed by just how much that had taken him by surprise.

“To be clear: I’m happy about it, mysterious and kind almost-stranger.” Seth kissed him sincerely. He didn’t know Caleb very well, but he felt known, and it was a specific, unspeakable kind of feeling.

Well, at least he had that going for him. "Am I mysterious?" he said, half to himself and half genuine question. "And I notice you didn't mention whether you had a crush on me back."

“Of course you’re mysterious. You’re a complex man who, I would guess, has gotten used to relying on himself alone. But there’s such a spark in you. I’m just not sure what kind, hence the mystery. And of course I have a crush on you. You make me feel understood, and you’re gorgeous.”

It meant a lot that Seth had thought about him enough to come up with those things, because he wasn't wrong. "For the record, I wouldn't mind you trying to figure out what kind." It was, in its own way, a statement of intent.

“Good to know.” Seth grinned, reached to tug Caleb down against him. “You can tell me all about yourself while we do things to each other.”

Caleb laughed as he settled his weight against Seth, kissing a winding, lazy trail down the side of his neck. "I think you greatly overestimate my ability to think about anything except how good you feel."

“I’m not opposed to hearing that. Maybe it’ll give me valuable insights into the workings of your mind. I like that, by the way, do it again.” What an excellent way to spend the day.

"I knew you were bossy," Caleb teased, but he did it again, happily. "Good thing we have all day, or I'd never get through kissing all of you."

“I might be bossy, but if you asked me for something, I’d do it.” Seth wasn’t elevating his needs above Caleb’s, thank you very much. He drifted his hands down Caleb’s back, exploring the muscles and shape. “If we run out of time, you’ll have to come back and start all over again.”

"I'm totally okay with you bossing me around," Caleb assured him, switching to the other side of Seth's neck to give it the same attention. It was a nice thought, having a good excuse to come over again. And again. "I'm almost definitely going to ask to fuck you later."

Look at how thoughtful Caleb was, giving his body equal amounts of attention. “I’ll start considering my answer now,” Seth answered, grinning, and he assumed by his tone it was clear enough that he’d absolutely allow it.

"I'll be sure to be as convincing as possible until then," he promised, though for the moment he drew back, kneeling at the edge of the bed. "Scoot up to the pillows so I can kiss you down into them, please." Caleb wanted room to work and, perhaps, a nice mental image of Seth spread out in front of him to savor when he eventually had to leave.

Who spoke like this? Who said please and made romantic, head-spinning requests of a man they had effectively just met? Who was this construction worker gentleman dad? Seth smiled and shifted into the requested position. “Is this how you want me?"

Caleb took a moment to really appreciate the view before he moved up the bed after him. "One of many ways," he agreed approvingly, catching Seth's mouth in a kiss that was all sincerity and passion, with an edge of greed that only Seth seemed to make him able to feel without guilt.
