Elena really did feel bad that she hadn't managed to meet up with Anna yet, despite having clicked well on the journals forever ago. First they'd just failed to make any concrete plans, and then Elena had been called into work right when they finally did have plans. She was honestly expecting something to happen to prevent this date from happening, too, even if she'd only given the universe an hour to prepare. Even if she was already standing outside Phoenix Effect waiting for Anna. Elena had changed as soon as she talked to Anna, going for something that said this might be casual but she was still trying, though she was worried white was tempting fate in a place basically designed to cause stains. But also: she looked good in it, so she'd just have to cross her fingers and hope her date would get a chance to appreciate it before she ruined it. If her date even showed up. Elena wouldn't really blame her if she didn't, all things considered.
