So. She'd played touch football, cut up her shin, met a guy, fallen in love, and remembered being a star. Totally normal Saturday afternoon. Despite being rather unreasonable about everything else so far, Hanne and Max sensibly agreed that they couldn't just sit in front of Phoenix Effect for the rest of their lives, even if it meant putting some (temporary) distance between them. Hanne's place was closer, so that's where they went. She only let go of Max's hand to unlock the door and let them into the apartment. It was a decent-sized studio, not as nice as her place with Diego had been, but she'd been tired of imposing on friends after a few months of it and had finally found this place: nice enough for her to live in but cheap enough for her to afford on a grad student's stipend.
"Ignore the boxes. Actually, don't ignore the boxes, they'll probably make your shins look like mine if you're not careful."
