Oliver
Being away from Oliver was difficult; at some point, maybe, a 24, 36 hour separation wouldn't ache. But right now, it did, and maybe that was because it was new love, or co-dependency, or any number of reasons, but it was one thing Sam didn't really wish to rationalize. Sam (and Scott, especially Scott) were prone to rationalization above all us.
With Oliver, he tried just to feel.
Sure, they had already seen each other again after Sam's overnight -- Sam had stopped by Oliver's studio as promised, for a quick hello and a kiss and a cup of coffee -- but a quick, public moment like that couldn't replace the moment they were both at home together, alone, with nothing to do but be with each other. It was the only company Sam wanted.
Somewhere, in the back of his mind, was a pang of guilt for not devoting his spare time to solving their 'situation' -- but they really didn't appear to be in danger, and the situation could wait.
Right now, Sam was coming home to the man he loved, who promised to wait by the door for him. To test that theory, he knocked on the door rather than opening it himself.

And it was very much appreciated! Sam did in fact watch Oliver closely, because instead of using the time to take off his own clothes, he spent it staring at Oliver. Being called Cyclops, being teased as Cyclops, was just a bonus: fond teasing about his hero persona was one of the best things about being Scott, and also, yes, he was the boss here. “So handsome,” yes, Sam said it again, right as he took Oliver’s cock in one hand and gave it a few quick, teasing strokes. From here, he could see all of Oliver as he did so.

“We learn in part from observing others,” Sam pointed out with a grin. But he was serious about the touch, serious about Oliver. He kept up the strokes, but also leaned forward over Oliver, scraping his teeth across Oliver’s chest, breathing him in, nipping at a nipple. There was so much he wanted to touch, so much he wanted to do.

“Once or twice.” But it was great to hear. Sam hadn’t always been good at this. “You inspire it.” He also made Sam feel like he could do this and do it well. He locked his eyes with Oliver’s as his hand picked up the pace.

"You're so good," Oliver told him, because once or twice wasn't enough. Not with a talent like this. "You're amazing, you could teach lessons... Fuck, I'm close."

No one, ever, had said that Sam should teach lessons on this! It was the kind of comment that Sam would discard, except that he couldn’t discard a single comment Oliver ever made. All he did about it, though, was grin. “Shh, I’ve got you,” he murmured, and smoothly adjusted himself so he could replace his hand with his mouth, hot and insistent around Oliver.

That was new and it was beautiful. Sam worked him through it, easing and gentle when the moment was over, slowly letting go as his warm hand stroked across Oliver’s belly. Oliver was beautiful.

“Yes, I must,” Sam replied easily, because that was a tone he recognized from years or a lifetime ago, and one he newly appreciated. He sat up so he could sink back into the couch, but also so he could reach over and stroke Oliver’s hair while he tried to catch his own breath.

Sam couldn’t help but laugh, but it was the fondest laugh maybe in the history of the world. “I do, always, but you look so peaceful there.” Sam could let the moment soften (as it were) into something sweeter if that’s where Oliver wanted to stay.

“Then you should probably come here and kiss me.” That little nip made Sam feel more alive. Oliver was very, very good at evoking that feeling.

Sam could do lazy. Well, he could in this exact context. He loved this, his speedster unspooled, the feeling that, perhaps, there was all the time in the world for something like love, and leisure, and closeness. Sam kissed Oliver back with that sense of time, with a murmuring of approval for Oliver’s warm hands on his skin.

“Take them off for me,” Sam suggested/ordered, pleasantly.

“I did, but you rejected the offer.” Sam grinned, and even though he had told Oliver to do it, he did take over taking his shirt off.

“It does,” Sam agreed, because he could hardly deny it. And while he was at it, he folded Oliver’s shirt as well. “I don’t know why. You look incredible.”
