Being away from Oliver was difficult; at some point, maybe, a 24, 36 hour separation wouldn't ache. But right now, it did, and maybe that was because it was new love, or co-dependency, or any number of reasons, but it was one thing Sam didn't really wish to rationalize. Sam (and Scott, especially Scott) were prone to rationalization above all us.

With Oliver, he tried just to feel.

Sure, they had already seen each other again after Sam's overnight -- Sam had stopped by Oliver's studio as promised, for a quick hello and a kiss and a cup of coffee -- but a quick, public moment like that couldn't replace the moment they were both at home together, alone, with nothing to do but be with each other. It was the only company Sam wanted.

Somewhere, in the back of his mind, was a pang of guilt for not devoting his spare time to solving their 'situation' -- but they really didn't appear to be in danger, and the situation could wait.

Right now, Sam was coming home to the man he loved, who promised to wait by the door for him. To test that theory, he knocked on the door rather than opening it himself.

“I’ve always been annoying and particular, so yes, I would probably often stop to fold shirts.” Oliver’s skin tasted so good, it felt like it was pulsing under Sam’s mouth. “But Scott didn’t take charge.”

"Oh..." Oliver murmured in response to Sam's mouth. Then his eyes widened when Sam's words actually caught up to him and registered. "Oh. So it was completely different from this."

“Mmhmm.” It was confirmation, just the kind of confirmation that happened when you were focused on trying to make Oliver make more little sounds.

"But you...like it like this?" It seemed silly to ask but, well, this was completely different! Oliver clearly liked it, though, grunting softly in response to Sam's attentions.

“I love it. I love everything we do together and I love what I can do to you.” Here, Sam dropped a hand down, just to see what in fact he might be doing to Oliver.

"You can do anything to me," Oliver sighed, pushing against Sam's hand. He wasn't thinking as he made that promise, just feeling and full of romantic impulse.

Sam grinned, closing his hand around Oliver’s cock, rubbing the underside with his thumb. “Apparently I can.” With a little nuzzling! Again! Sam stroked Oliver slowly, deliberately, biting softly at his jaw.

Well, Oliver was an absolute sucker for affection. He pushed up into Sam's hand and turned his face toward him, wanting to kiss him even as he wanted Sam to never stop nibbling at him. "Getting full of yourself, huh?"

“Just getting my fill of you,” Sam corrected, still stroking Oliver as he kissed him. Oliver was a sucker for affection, but maybe Sam was, too; he never wanted their close, intimate moments to end.

Oliver teasingly kept the kiss shallow, little licks and pecks and nips that still managed to keep his blood hot. "You just got finished filling me," he pointed out with a smile.

Sam laughed against Oliver's mouth, surprised. He should have seen that joke coming, but he hadn’t, and it was funnier for it. “And I loved it,” was his reply, chasing Oliver’s mouth, working him with his hand.

Oliver turned his face away so he could groan softly, but was also still teasing by not giving him that kiss. "Have you thought..." He hesitated before putting his hand high on Sam's thigh, rubbing in gentle circles. "I could get tested, if you ever wanted to think about ditching the condoms."

“I hadn’t thought about it, but…” Sam was thinking about it now. About the way Oliver felt under his hand, about the closeness they shared, about Oliver’s hand on his thigh. “I like the idea.”

"I assume you get tested like every week or something already, just to be safe." But the little joke was belied by the look in Oliver's eyes when he glanced up at Sam, the seriousness there. He never thought he'd trust someone like this.

“Every eight weeks,” Sam corrected, “If I’m sexually active.” But for a moment, Sam stilled his hand, because they probably shouldn’t have an important conversation about sexual health in the middle of, you know, sexual activity. It was a serious, committed offer. “Are you sure about this?"

His smart, responsible Sam, who made him feel safe and loved and understood in a way he'd never expected from a partner, in this world or the last. Oliver reached up to touch his face, smiling fondly. "Yeah. I'm sure."

“Then I am too.” All Sam wanted was to be closer to Oliver all the time, and he loved that Oliver wanted to commit to him in so many ways. And now, yes, Sam was going to kiss Oliver properly.

It'd be cruel to both of them if Oliver denied him this time. He cupped Sam's jaw and sank into the kiss, going warm and pliable.

And Oliver would never be cruel to Sam! It was a wonderful kiss, one Sam insisted on prolonging as he started stroking Oliver again.

Oliver jolted in surprise, having somehow forgotten they were in the middle of sex. He broke the kiss with a burst of laughter, pressing his forehead against Sam's.

Sam had to grin, bringing his free hand around to hold the back of Oliver’s head. “Did you forget you what we were doing, Pietro?"

"Yeah." He was still laughing a little, but his body had gotten the message—his hips were snapping up in short thrusts into Sam's hand. "When did getting off stop being the most important thing?"

“I think this means you’re in love,” Sam pointed out, even as his hand moved faster, and he glanced down briefly to watch before he kissed Oliver again.

Oliver kissed him back, his body bouncing slightly with every thrust into Sam's hand. The second wasn't as easy as the first, but he could still feel the pressure building, coiling tighter with every brush of Sam's tongue against his own. He tended to focus on not being wanted like this before, but he'd also not wanted anyone this much either. Not as Oliver. Sam made him hungry for more, greedy and insatiable for anything he could get—attention, sex, and yes, love.

"Did I not mention I'm in love with you?" he asked when he came up for a gasp of air, only to dive into another kiss, hot and persistent now that he'd given up the teasing.

“It’s come up be—“ Sam started to answer, but he was swallowed up in that kiss, and god, it was a good place to be. That he could work Oliver into this kind of state again tonight, that Oliver kissed him like he needed to be kissing him, it was all incredible. Sam hadn’t felt anything quite like this before, and his hand moved quickly, urgently, on Oliver.
